We stayed at the logde for two weeks and really enjoyed our stay.The lodge was in a perfect position close to shops and seafront.We found the option of cycle hire was most beneficial and used them daily.The roof terrace is fantastic offering a great view of both the sea and the mountains.The owners were very helpful and easily contactable if needed but also unobtrusive.We had a truly memorable holiday thanks largely to this apartment and its owners Graeme and Valesca.

"Unique Experience"

The apartment was clean and well equipped, very comfortable and good value for money. Graeme and Valessca were most welcoming and the information file left for holiday clients was very helpful in planning for the holiday ahead.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the assalah lodge. After looking forward to our holiday for weeks, we were concerned we would be dissapointed in some way with our choice. Upon arrival we were immediately over the moon with our decision. Valesca was really friendly and helpful, had been to the shops and grabbed us a few essentials and even supplied a local SIM card with some credit. The location may not suit everyone, but for us it was perfect. 5 mins walk from the beach, 10 - 15 mins walk from the centre or only 8 - 10 EGP (£1) taxi ride away. Away from other tourists, it feels like you are able to experience real Bedouin village life, with the rest of Dahab on your doorstep. The balcony is a god send for early morning relaxing before enjoying some shade when the heat really picks up.

Its very difficult to pick any fault with our stay, if I had to think of any negatives, it would be good to have some extra bed linen and towels that guests could change during the week.

In summary, a perfect balance of experiencing authentic Bedouin life on your doorstep while enjoying the standards and comfort of home. If thats what you would like, this place is for you!

"Far from the madding crowd, in the middle of Dahab"

Beautifully refurbished flat in the heart of Dahab-proper, far enough away from the main tourist area to be real, close enough to be a five minute bike ride.

The flat is great - comfortable and modern, with a wonderful roof-terrace (which is admittedly pretty hot by day, but then you should be out and about so stop lolling about and do something!). Only the bedroom is air conditioned, but really that's all you need. The kitchen and bathroom both work very well and come with all mod cons.

Graeme and Valesca were extremely welcoming, provided us with bikes for our stay (for a small additional fee) and were generally on the end of a telephone line to answer questions when needs be. The wifi wasn't working when we arrived so Graeme managed to return later in the evening to get it up and running again only hours before he was due to get up in the very early morning to drive to Cairo. Excellent service.

All in all, couldn't recommend it highly enough - the perfect place to stay for a week in Dahab. We'll be back. Huge thanks to Graeme and Valesca.

Ps I proposed to my girlfriend on the roof terrace, and she said yes - what higher recommendation could you want!

"Loved it!"

We spent a week in Dahab and the accomodation and our guests's service really made it a great experience. Valesca and Graeme are amazing guys and we wish them all the best. The appartment's location is special, and watching the coming and going of the camels and locals isn't something you get on the seafront...
We really felt at home as soon as we arrived, only sometimes wished for a fan to cool us down a bit more. We don't normally consider to go back to places we've been too but Dahab and assalah Lodge is definitely on my top list !!!

Hi Valesca, Many thanks for taking me out diving in Dahab, i especially liked diving the "Bells" at the Blue Hole as well as diving the Canyon. It was also great that you do private guided dives. "Perfect home away from home"
Lovely spacious and very clean apartment with breathtaking views from the terrace and windows. Felt like home as soon as I entered the front door. The owners, Valesca and Graeme, know the area very well and showed me the nicest places the area has to offer (including diving with Valesca, awesome!). Getting around in and near Dahab was very comfortable with the bicycles belonging to the apartment. I am planning to come back for sure!

"Fantastic holiday"

The accommodation was spotless, homely and well designed. The location was great in the middle of the Bedouin town, giving an authentic experience. Our hosts Graeme an Valesca, could not have been more helpful if they tried. For anyone who wants a real taste of Dahab in very comfortable accommodation, this is the place to stay.

Vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Dahab. Wir haben selten eine so schöne Lodge gehabt - super gemütlich und sehr gepflegt! Abends konnte man auf der Terrasse mit dem wunderschönen Blick auf die Berge und das Meer den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Begleitet von den Klängen der Moscheen rund herum
Nicht zu vergessen die Ziege, Schaafe und Kamele, die sich in der Umgebung finden....
Auch das Tauchen war sehr schön - ein rundherum gelungener releaxter Urlaub.
Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
